HANCOCK, MI - Award-winning author Lesley DuTemple and artist Jack Oyler will sign copies of the book "Stars in the Water" Saturday, June 18, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., at Finlandia University's North Wind Books, Hancock.
Written by DuTemple, Stars in the Water is a storybook for children of all ages. It tells three magical stories of the North Woods-Coyote's Star, The Fire Deer, and The Water Star.
The stories are illustrated by photographs of a series of original three-dimensional woodcuts by Jack Oyler of Calumet, Mich., which were specifically commissioned for the book. Several of the original artworks will be on display at the book signing.
DuTemple, of Eagle River, Mich., is the author of more than two dozen children's books, ranging from pre-school (One Little Balsam Fir) through high school reading level (The Complete Idiot's Guide to Life Science).
