HANCOCK, MI - The Finlandia University International School of Business invites community members to audit these fall semester evening Accounting courses.

Fundamentals of Accounting (BUS 200) introduces basic accounting concepts. The course is designed for non-accountants who would like to learn to read and analyze financial statements. The course will also teach you to manage budgets, control cash flows, and deal with audits and auditors. No prerequisites are needed and some homework is required. The class meets Wednesday evenings from 6:10 to 7:30.

Accounting Systems (BUS 205) offers hands-on learning of QuickBooks, accounting software widely used by small businesses. For non-degree-seeking students, the only prerequisite is familiarity with basic accounting concepts. The class meets Monday evenings from 6:10 to 8:30.

The courses will be instructed by Angela Price, CPA. Both classes meet in Finlandia's Maki Library computer lab. The courses may be audited for $150 per course. A certificate of achievement will be awarded upon successful completion.
