Sibelius Fest Folk Concert Is Tuesday, 7 pm

HANCOCK, MI - "Blink," a contemporary Nordic folk ensemble, will present a Sibelius Festival concert Tuesday evening, September 20, at 7:00 p.m., at the Finlandia University Auditorium, which is in the historic middle school building next to the Finnish American Heritage Center.

"Blink," is four women creating new Nordic folk music in an ensemble of two strings and two voices. The young women visit the traditional sounds of polskas, runolaulus, labajalgs, and ballads, combining the traditional sounds of the Nordic and Baltic countries with their own tunes.
