Saturday Morning Fitness Classes at Paavo Nurmi

HANCOCK, MI - Finlandia University announces that two weekly Saturday morning fitness classes will begin in October and continue until further notice. Both classes meet in the Paavo Nurmi Athletic Center gymnasium. All fitness levels are welcome.

Starting October 1, a "Cardio Blast" class will meet from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The class includes a cardio workout using step, hi-lo floor aerobics, and/or kickboxing, and a strength and conditioning segment. The class is instructed by Deb Faust.

Starting October 8, a "Zumba" dance fitness class will meet from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The class incorporates cardio fitness, resistance training, and stretching to the accompaniment of Latin, pop, and world music. Work up a sweat, learn some dance moves, and have a great time! The instructor is Emily Svenson.

The cost of each fitness class is $5.00 per session, or a 10-session punch card can be purchased for $40.00.

Finlandia University students may attend the fitness classes at the reduced cost of $3.00 per session, or purchase a 10-session punch card for $20.00. Finlandia students must present a valid student ID.

Pre-registration is not required. Session fees are payable prior to each class. Punch cards may be purchased anytime at the Paavo Nurmi Center.
