Curtis Wittenberg

Curtis Wittenberg returns to Finlandia University as the new head women’s basketball coach.

Prior to returning to Finlandia, Wittenberg was the boy’s varsity basketball coach at Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in Lake Linden, Michigan from 2005-2007 as well as the girl’s varsity basketball coach in 2006.

During Wittenberg’s first stint with Finlandia University he was the head men’s and women’s cross-country coach from 2004-2005. Along with coaching cross-country, Wittenberg was an assistant coach for Coach Steve Nordstrom from 2003-2005. During this time, the Lions won an NCAA D-III Northeast Regional Championship in 2005 and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship.

Wittenberg is also the sports information director for the Finlandia athletic department. He received his bachelor of science degree from Ferris State University in actuarial science.

Wittenberg currently resides in Lake Linden, Michigan with his wife Kelly. He is a member of the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
