The art therapy major is designed to provide students with an integrated understanding of the role art plays in relation to human psychology.

Art therapy degree program incorporates learning in fine arts, art history, and psychology. It culminates in a capstone project for which the student completes an intership in the field prepares a professional portfolio.

The art therapy degree is intended to lay the foundation program graduates will need to pursue a master's degree in art therapy, the standard qualification for practice in the field.

The art therapy degree is proudly offered in collaboration with Finlandia University's Suomi College of Arts & Sciences (SCAS).
