Finlandia's International School of Business (ISB) is on an upward trajectory, thanks to its multi-talented faculty and the leadership of its dean, Dr. Terry Monson. Changes that injected dynamism to the ISB include:

As a writer she has published over ninety mainstream and genre stories and articles in print and electronic journals and has held workshops on different aspects of writing on campus and in the community. Her other area of interest is researching the Basque/Cro-Magnon connection with the Basque language being part of the Berberbero, Basque Language Complex. Mary Jane's interest in linguistics is built on her undergraduate degree in anthropology earned at George Washington University. is an Associate Professor of Management and Marketing. Kevin teaches management classes along with supervising the Finlandia University Experiential Learning (FUEL) Studio - a collaborative effort between the ISB and ISAD. He has introduced a new course - BUS 395 Project Management- that is an excellent addition to the courses offered in the BBA program. Kevin's teaching philosophy is that students learn in different ways, and that professors and instructors should try to accommodate each student's style to the best of their abilities. Teaching should motivate and inspire students to be the best that they can be both as experts in their respective fields and as citizens of their community, nation and world. Kevin is a native of the Keweenaw, having grown-up in Dodgeville and graduating from Houghton High School. He graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration and an option in industrial management and marketing from Michigan Technological University. He also has an MBA with a concentration in international business from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He returned to the area recently after living in Jyväskylä, Finland where he taught at the JAMK University of Applied Sciences for 13 years and then two years as the manager of business development for Jyvaskyla Innovation. Upon returning to the U.P. he worked at Western Upper Peninsula Planning and Development Region, as the Houghton Regional Economic Coordinator from 2010 to 2011. is the Assistant Professor of Accounting. Angela will be teaching Fundamentals and Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Accounting Systems, and Auditing. In addition to the classes listed, she is teaching QuickBooks and accounting for non-accountants to the community. Angela is a CPA with a Master's Degree in tax accounting from the University of Florida. She also went to the University of Michigan for her general education. As a professional she was an auditor for Pricewaterhouse Coopers, a treasury analyst and international tax manager for a public software company, and most recently a self-employed accounting consultant. She has travelled and/or worked in several countries throughout her career. She looks forward to using her life experience to help you with your educational, professional, and life endeavors. Angela grew up in nearby Baraga and Houghton and recently moved back to the area after an 18 year hiatus. She lives in Chassell and enjoys spending time with her son and dogs. Once upon a time she was an avid basketball player, mountain biker, and hiker. The two things she will never try again are mountaineering (Mt Rainer) and running a marathon. assistant professor of sports management, has over 12 years of experience working in collegiate athletics, seven of them as assistant athletic director and head women's basketball coach at Finlandia. He is also director of athletic development at Michigan Tech, raising money for the Huskies athletic programs. She has two undergraduate degrees from Northern Michigan University 1999 - a BS in Communication Disorders (1999) and a BS in Accounting (2002) and an MBA in Information Systems from the University of North Alabama (2006). She has over 10 years' experience in accounting including manufacturing, education, and hospital settings. A certified management accountant (CMA), she is currently employed as a grant accountant at Michigan Tech. Richelle is originally from Northeast Wisconsin and she is a Director at Large of the Upper Peninsula Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. keeps faculty on track with subtle and gentle reminders, helping them avoid the embarrassing label "absent-minded professor." Paula has been in administrative support at Finlandia since 1999. She has worked for the ISB twice: as administrative assistant from 1999 to 2001, and as administrative coordinator since 2008. Paula holds a bachelor's degree from Macalester College and has taken graduate courses at Michigan Tech. She spends her free time gardening, cooking, doing fiber work, reading, and occasionally writing poetry. Paula is an additional resource for tips on how to advance to the next level in gardening.
