Psychology is one of the most popular undergraduate majors in the U.S. As a Psychology major you'll be introduced to theories and research used to develop the skills to study human behavior and the human mind.  The psychology major allows students to develop a focus of interest in order to prepare you for a variety of different career paths including, social and human services, careers in community mental health, jobs in governmental agencies or non-profit organizations and other fields requiring strong interpersonal skills.

You will take three introductory courses in different subfields such as, Social Psychology, Personality Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Abnormal Psychology (Clinical/Counseling Psychology) Developmental Psychology and Research Methods/Statistics.  Then, based on your interests, you will be required to take upper-level courses that specialize in topics within the subfield areas.
