Company Overview:

Meet the Portage Investigative Consultants, your partners for private investigations, background checks and process serving in the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan:

A military veteran, Randy LaLonde started in law enforcement serving university communities, Northern Michigan University and University of Michigan, as a public safety officer. During this time he led investigations, interrogated suspects, victims and witnesses. With community safety his prime motivation, LaLonde spent 18 years working for Michigan Department of Corrections, spending many years working inside maximum security prisons. LaLonde earned a Master of Public Administration degree and instructed criminal justice courses for a university. He is a member of the Upper Peninsula Criminal Justice Association.

Highly regarded by colleagues for his professionalism and attention to detail, LaLonde strives for excellence in every task set before him. LaLonde applies his unwavering moral and ethical standards to every PIC case.

Dolores Kilpela worked as a police officer for 10 years in Canby, Oregon. There, Kilpela worked extensively as lead investigator in the detective division investigating serious personal and property crimes, gaining valuable surveillance and search warrant experience. Kilpela was entrusted to conduct background checks on all new police officer hires, city employees and individuals involved in cases. Kilpela earned multiple commendations for successful resolution to investigations. Returning home to the Copper Country of Michigan, she completed a Master of Arts degree and was appointed chairperson of the Department of Criminal Justice at a local university.

Never a person to sit on the side lines or say "good enough," she applies that same effort and attitude to her cases for Portage Investigative Consultants. Clients work with Kilpela because of her tenacious yet compassionate approach and successful outcomes.
