Clubs and Organizations at Finlandia University

Finlandia University students participate in a wide variety of student-run clubs and organizations. Students wishing to form a club or organization should submit a proposal to the Student Senate (senate@finlandia.edu) using the guidelines below. Approved clubs/organization may request startup funding or funding for special events by submitting a proposal for funding to the Student Senate.

AIr Force ROTC

Students enrolled at Finlandia University may participate in the Air Force ROTC program offered through Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan, in accordance with provisions of a collaborative agreement. Art Unity Organization

Mission: The Art Unity Organization provides an opportunity for students, regardless of major or career path, to express themselves and explore their creativity with fellow students through the arts.

Biology Club

Mission: Explore and network within the field of Biology outside of the classroom for both Biology majors and non-majors. The club will go on tours of facilities, have guest speakers, provide campus outreach on current scientific issues, and work on various relevant projects. Additionally, the club aims to work with the community both on and off campus in terms of community service projects.

Lion’s Pride

Mission: An organization for Queer people and allies in the Finlandia student, faculty, staff population and for local teens, Lion’s Pride seeks to be a safe haven, travel to local events of interest, host supportive social hangouts, open  discussion, coordinate resource gathering with the library, and disseminate information on local resources.

  • Student PTA Club invites you to Massage by Donation April 11

    PTA Massage

    The Finlandia University Student PTA Club will host its second annual Massage by Donation event on Tuesday, April 11. The event is an opportunity for PTA students to use their newly learned skills and raise money for a charitable cause. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated by the club, which has given generously to charitable programs such as Bay Cliff Health Camp, Shoes4Kids and Omega House over the past year.

    On Thursday, March 2, Finlandia University’s Board of Trustees announced that Finlandia will not enroll students for the 2023-2024 academic year. The decision follows months of continuous efforts to find pathways for the University to continue its mission.
