The movie Selma to be featured during MLK Day

The second annual MLK Day of Service at Finlandia University will feature a film presentation of Selma. The event is at 7 p.m. in Wargelin 303 on MLK Day, which is Monday, January 16.

The event is free and open to the entire campus community. Complimentary popcorn will be served. Additional snacks will be available for purchase. All proceeds will go to Finlandia’s Equity and Diversity Committee to fund future campus events.

Finlandia University’s second annual MLK Day of Service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2016 during the nationally recognized holiday of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Finlandia announces $20,000 art and design scholarship competition

Thanks to the generous support of David and Elsa Brule, Finlandia University is proud to announce a three-year commitment totaling $120,000 in art and design scholarships.

Korpela leads crew of 18 recognized for 220+ years of service

Doreen Korpela celebrated 40 years of service at Finlandia University this year.

In October of this year Doreen Korpela celebrated the 40th anniversary of her first day at Finlandia University. On Thursday night of last week at the university’ Christmas celebration Korpela was one of 18 employees recognized for more than 220 years of service to the university.

The next longest tenured employee celebrated Thursday night Phyllis Fredendall at 25 years, followed by 20 years each for

Tips for gmail transition, including importing calendars/contacts

On Wednesday morning the transition from IceWarp to Google for e-mail, calendar, contacts and more will be finalized. In addition to all users needing to reset their password, many IceWarp users will want to migrate their calendars and contacts. This will need to be manually done. Below is information on each. Finlandia University announces six $20,000 scholarships for students interested in studying art and design.
