Student reps wanted for Equity and Diversity Committee

The Equity and Diversity Committee is looking for two student representatives. The committee is now accepting applications.

Online RN-BSN featured on Finlandia Fridays

As a nursing school, it’s important for Finlandia to continue to evolve its offerings to make sure students are provided the opportunities they need. Online registration for Spring 2017 remains open until Dec. 7

Please note: Registration can still be done through your academic advisor or the registrar’s office after December 7.

This week Finlandia Fridays speaks with  art therapy major Laurin LaBonte. Art therapy is a unique major offered at Finlandia that was first made available in 2013. This major has a wide range of uses as LaBonte outlines it can help immensely with Alzheimer patients, those suffering from PTSD, and even patients recovering from car accidents. Art has been found to carry numerous therapeutic properties that can aid in emotional behavior and even motor skills with Alzheimer patients.

$15,000 Price Guarantee – no matter how many credits are needed

New craze of Escape Rooms coming to FinnU on Dec. 1

Finlandia University Student Affairs is bringing an exciting new type of event called Escape Rooms to campus on Thursday, December 1.

Escape games are the newest craze sweeping the nation – a fun, team-building, brain-busting experience. After entering a room with your team, the door is locked behind you. 60 minutes are on the clock! You must work together to find clues and solve puzzles that will lead you to your escape. It is part scavenger hunt and part puzzle game.

Finlandia to celebrate Finland’s Independence

As it has each year since the country became independent 99 years ago, Finlandia University will celebrate Finland’s Independence Day with a program of music and theatre on Tuesday, December 6, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Finnish American Heritage Center.
