Finlandia announces second year of Summer Bridge Program

The Summer Bridge Program at Finlandia University will kick off on June 26 for its second year – allowing students to get ahead and better prepare themselves for college.

“Our Summer Bridge Program offers a unique opportunity for our incoming students to ease into the demands of college coursework with highly coordinated support and opportunities to explore the local area during our beautiful summer,” Director of Academic Success and Student Life Erin Barnett said.

Interested in experiencing college a bit earlier than the norm? The Finlandia Summer Bridge Program is for you.

Aspiring artists invited to portfolio review session at Finlandia

Aspiring artists are invited to Finlandia University’s International School of Art & Design (ISAD) in March and April for portfolio review/open house sessions at the Jutila Center. A total of 12 sessions will take place, beginning March 10 and finishing up April 7.

Each session will start with the aspiring artists meeting with art and design faculty to get a feel for them as students and artists. The faculty will then look through the students’ portfolios to help offer individualized advice [...]

Laying in his dorm room during the first week of school, this week’s Finlandia Fridays guest Keith Arnold could barely sleep. Finlandia introduces $4,000 U.P. Commitment Grant and frozen tuition for 2017-18

Efforts are first step of comprehensive redesign of financial aid practices

Finlandia University has introduced a new $4,000 grant for students who graduated from an Upper Peninsula high school, and announced it is maintaining current rates for tuition and room and board for the upcoming year.

$20,000 competitive art & design scholarship for incoming students

Finlandia University is now accepting applications for the Dave and Elsa Brule Scholarship. This competitive scholarship is for students interested in studying art and design in the university’s International School of Art & Design.
