Finlandia Ranked as One of the Best Online RN-BSN Programs in Michigan

 

Finlandia University’s Online RN-BSN program has been named one of 2019 – Best Online RN-BSN Programs in Michigan by Registered Nursing.

Leading the Pride is back and talking with Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Upper Peninsula Health Plan, Brigitte LaPointe (’07). LaPointe is originally from Baraga where she grew up in the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. Upper Great Lakes hires 2007 nursing alum Jenny Bausano, NP

Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center (UGL) recently announced Jenny (Niileksela) Bausano (’07), Nurse Practitioner (NP), has been hired to join their team of family medicine providers at the Lake Linden Family Health Center.

Bausano was born in Hancock, and grew up in Chandler, Arizona. She relocated to the Copper Country during high school and graduated from Hancock Central High. Bausano earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Finlandia University. [...]

The annual Portage Health Foundation Scholarship opportunity for Finlandia University students studying healthcare and coming from Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga or Ontonagon counties is now accepting applications.

Finlandia University Student Nurses Take Part in Free Skin Cancer Screening Event May 25

 

Finlandia University campus welcomes dermatologist, Dr. Milton Soderberg and staff to campus on Saturday, May 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Finnish American Heritage Center.

Soderberg will be working with Hannah Wilson, PA-C, and Jordan Brooks, MD as well as the Finlandia student nurses to conduct free screenings for skin cancer.

Blood Drive Hosted by SNA on April 17

Finlandia University’s Student Nurses’ Association is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, April 17 from 3 to 7 p.m. in front of Finlandia Hall. No pre-registration is required and all blood types are being accepted.

The blood drive is being put on in conjunction with the Upper Peninsula Regional Blood Center. Donated blood helps save lives throughout the U.P. There is currently a critical need for A-negative and O-negative.
