Finlandia Fridays was visited this week by senior intermedia student, Miranda Conroy. Hailing from Ishpeming, Conroy will have her final undergraduate work featured with the rest of the graduating art students in this year’s Bachelor of Fine Arts Diploma Works exhibition. Leading the Pride continues this month by talking with International School of Art and Design alumnus, John Fish (’10). Fish, originally from Iron River, MI, came to Finlandia as a graphic design major to learn how to apply graphics to skateboards. Faculty from Finlandia University’s International School of Art & Design (ISAD) welcomed high school students from Dollar Bay-Tamarack City High School to campus this week. The students toured the beautiful art facilities located in the bottom two floors of the Jutila Center with ISAD Dean Denise Vandeville, met many other faculty members and then worked on a project in the Fiber and Fashion Design studio with Professor of Fiber and Fashion Design Phyllis Fredendall.
