It’s On Us Week of Action with Erin Barnett on Finlandia Fridays

This week Finlandia Fridays was visited by Dean of Students Erin Barnett to promote the campus wide It’s On Us campaign. It’s On Us is a national campaign that was started by former Vice President Joe Biden that raises awareness for sexual assault. The new Men of Strength Club is seeking participants for the upcoming Walk a Mile in THEIR Shoes event on Wednesday, October 4 beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Quincy Green, as part of the Finlandia It’s On Us event series.

Volunteers needed for Mobile Food Pantry in Baraga

Volunteers are still needed to help at the Mobile Food Pantry to be hosted in Baraga on Wednesday, September 27. The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. and is being hosted by Finlandia University Campus Ministry, Feeding America West Michigan, Western U.P. Food Bank and Baraga Area Schools in the parking lot of Baraga High School.

The Finlandia Young Women’s Caucus for Art will give away blank t-shirts for the upcoming Clothesline Project during the Denim & R.A.I.N.N. day event on Thursday, September 21 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Finlandia Hall as part of the It’s On Us event series.
