McLaughlin named Student Representative at Finlandia University

Late nights and early mornings are often some of the strongest memories from a college experience, but for the 2017 Finlandia University Student Representative Matt McLaughlin – the experience may have been even more dramatic. The video features highlights from events all around the year, including Heikinpäivä, residential life, athletic events and more. Three international students among this year’s business school graduates

This spring’s graduating class really puts the International in the International School of Business (ISB) at Finlandia University. Receiving their BBA on April 30 will be three very special students: Aoi Buto, Pavel Kuzmin and Theresa Wolf.

Campus Ministry hosting slew of Finals Week events

Finals week has arrived at Finlandia University, and students are encouraged to stop by for one of these great events at the Chapel of St. Matthew hosted by Campus Ministry.

Self-Guided Meditation The Chapel will be open throughout the week for self-guided meditation. There will be various devotional and prayer books available to utilize. Claudia Youakim and Hailee Johnson outline SCAS Capstone Presentations

This week on Finlandia Fridays, professor Dr. Claudia Youakim and senior sociology major Hailee Johnson join the program to touch on a very compelling capstone project through the Suomi College of Arts & Sciences (SCAS). SCAS Capstones are projects completed and presented upon by students here at Finlandia University. Until now these have been closed to the public, but Finlandia is opening its doors and welcoming anyone to come for the presentations.

FinnU Communications department looking for summer and year-long interns

The Finlandia University Communications Department is looking for two interns for the upcoming semesters.

The first is a summer internship focused on a new “It’s On Us” campaign the university’s student life department is hosting. That internship will include a slew of video work, as well as graphic design experience. Check out the full job description.

The marketing and communications department is also looking for an intern during the 2017-18 academic year that will be focused on Snapchat and Finlandia Fridays. [...]
